How to use the DreamRelay Spam Notification

DreamRelay protects the reputation and deliverability of the DreamIT Host email network by checking outgoing messages for signs of spam or phishing before they are delivered.

If DreamRelay flags one of your outgoing emails as spam, the message will not be delivered immediately. You will receive an email from DreamRelay Mail Operations with a subject similar to:

Your email was blocked (Ref MB-XXXXXXXXX)

The notification includes information about the blocked email, such as its subject, recipient, sending time, spam score and reference number.

Before releasing the email

Review the information in the notification and confirm that:

  • You recognise the email subject.
  • You intended to send the message.
  • You recognise the recipient.
  • The sending date and time are correct.

Only release the email if you are confident it is legitimate.

How to release a legitimate email

  1. Select Release this message from the email.

The release link:

  • Can only be used once.
  • Expires seven days after the notification is sent.
  • Applies only to the specific message shown in the notification.

Releasing the message allows it to continue through the delivery process. It does not guarantee that the recipient’s email provider will accept it, as the recipient may have separate filtering or delivery rules.

What if I did not send the email?

Do not select Release this message if you do not recognise the email.

An unexpected outgoing message may indicate that:

  • Someone has obtained your mailbox password.
  • A website contact form is being abused.
  • A website or email account has been compromised.
  • A device or application connected to your mailbox is sending messages without your knowledge.

Contact DreamIT Host Support immediately by raising a support ticket (see instructions here) and include the MB reference number displayed in the notification. This will help our team locate and investigate the message.
