IMAP sync allows you to synchronise your emails from one server to another, which is useful when moving emails from one provider to another.

Note: There are some conditions to be able to use this tool:

  • You need to have your old email server’s IP or server settings.
  • Your old email service needs to support IMAP.

Follow these steps to use the IMAP sync feature in CrossBox:

1. Log in to your email account on our server using CrossBox. You can use this link to log in to your email using CrossBox: https://mail.hosting-cloud.net

If your old host used SSL, keep the IMAP server SSL option ticked.
If it does not use SSL, untick this option. (This will automatically update the IMAP Port as well.)

IMAP Host: The server address of your old server. (This will be the same as the incoming server settings you used when you previously set up your emails in your email client with your old host.)
IMAP Username: The email address.
IMAP Password: The email password on the old server.

Once you have filled out this information, click Start Importing.

During the transfer period, do not close the window. It will specify in the text when the migration is complete.

If the IMAP sync fails, it will provide an error. If you have issues using this function, please raise a support ticket from your account and include a screenshot of the error to our team, and they can better assist you.
