Please follow this guide to restore a DirectAdmin backup to a DirectAdmin account.
Note: The backup can't be restored if an instance of the domain already exists on the server.

Log into your DirectAdmin account Follow this guide to log into your DirectAdmin account. Click here
Under System File and Info, click on File Manager.
Head to the root directory of the account (You can do this by clicking on My Files)
Click on the Create New Folder button, name the folder backups and click create.
Enter the folder and click the upload file button. You can then drag the backup file or click to browse for the backup file to upload.
Once the file is selected, click the upload button. Do not close or exit the page while the file is being uploaded. Once the file has completed uploading, proceed to the next step.
Head back to your control panel and under Advanced Features, click on Create/Restore Backups.
Click on the Restore Backup on the right hand side.
Select the backup from the drop down list.
You'll be required to select aspects of the backup to restore (You can leave these all enabled to restore the entire backup). Click the Restore button.
Allow some time for the backup to restore, once it has completed, you'll see a system notification at the top of your account, which you can click on and view.
