Note: To create a redirect, the domain must exist on the account, and for the redirect to work, the A record must be pointed to your hosting account.

Follow these steps to redirect a domain in cPanel:
1. Log in to your cPanel account.

2. Under the Domains section, click Redirects.
3. Under Add Redirect, you must fill in your redirect configuration.
Type
You will need to select a redirection type. There are the following options:
Permanent (301): This is a permanent redirect, most commonly used when a domain has been permanently moved to another domain name. (i.e. if demo.com has had the website name/URL updated to example2.com)
Temporary (302): This is a temporary redirect, most commonly used for redirecting traffic temporarily (i.e. If a store is having an online promotion and needs to redirect a specific page temporarily)
https?://(www.)?
Specifies whether you wish to redirect with only www, with and without www, or redirect the site without the www in the URL. You can also enable a wildcard redirect as a catch-all subdomain to redirect to a specific site.
Followed by the domain you wish to redirect, you can select a domain within your account under the dropdown box. You also have the option to specify the file path you wish to redirect.
Redirects to
The address you want your domain redirected to.
Note: You will be required to enter the protocol (http:// or https:// followed by the domain URL you want to have the domains redirected to.)
4. Once completed, click the Add button.
5. You'll get confirmation that the domain redirect has been added.
6. You can also confirm that the entry is added by going back to the Current Redirects page.
Follow these steps to redirect a domain in DirectAdmin:
1. Log in to your DirectAdmin account.

2. Under Account Manager, click Site Redirection.
3. Click the Create New Redirect button.
4. Under Add New Redirect, you must fill in your redirect configuration.
Local URL Path
The location of the website files within your File Manager. (The domain is prefilled, you will only need to edit this if the website files/page is in another directory.)
Redirect Type
301 — Permanent: When a website has changed its name, you can redirect users to the new domain name or permanently redirect a specific web page to another web page.
302 — Temporary: When building/updating websites, this will temporarily redirect clients to another web page while the current web page is built/updated.
Destination URL
The address you want your domain redirected to.
5. Once completed, click the Create button.
